Rules & Regulations

Students admitted to Cheran College of Allied Health Sciences are expected to maintain high standards of discipline, professionalism, and ethical conduct throughout their academic tenure. The following rules and regulations shall be strictly followed by all students.

1. Attendance

  • Students must maintain the minimum attendance prescribed by the University.
  • Attendance is compulsory for all theory, practical, clinical, seminars, and examinations.
  • Students with shortage of attendance may not be permitted to appear for examinations.

2. Discipline

  • Students shall maintain discipline within the campus at all times.
  • Any act of misconduct, indiscipline, or behavior affecting the reputation of the institution is prohibited.
  • Students must show respect to faculty members, staff, patients, and fellow students.

3. Dress Code

  • Students shall wear the prescribed uniform and identity card while on campus and during clinical postings.
  • Professional appearance and personal hygiene must be maintained at all times.

4. Ragging Prohibition

  • Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited inside and outside the campus.
  • Students found involved in ragging activities shall face disciplinary action as per Government and University regulations.

5. Library Rules

  • Students shall maintain silence inside the library.
  • Library books must be returned on or before the due date.
  • Loss or damage of books shall be compensated by the borrower.

6. Laboratory Rules

  • Students must follow all laboratory safety instructions.
  • Laboratory equipment should be handled carefully and responsibly.
  • Any damage caused due to negligence shall be recovered from the student concerned.

7. Examination Rules

  • Students shall adhere to all examination regulations prescribed by the University.
  • Malpractice during examinations will attract strict disciplinary action.
  • Students must carry valid identity cards during examinations.

8. Campus Conduct

  • Use of alcohol, tobacco, narcotic substances, or any prohibited materials inside the campus is strictly forbidden.
  • Students shall not damage institutional property.
  • Students are expected to maintain cleanliness and protect the campus environment.

9. Clinical Training

  • Students shall follow hospital protocols during clinical postings.
  • Patient confidentiality must be maintained at all times.
  • Students shall behave professionally and ethically during patient interactions.

10. General Regulations

  • The Management reserves the right to amend or modify rules and regulations whenever necessary.
  • All students are expected to comply with institutional policies and University regulations.
  • Violation of any rule may result in disciplinary action including suspension or dismissal.
