Cheran College of Allied Health Sciences proudly celebrated Freshers’ Day for its inaugural batch (2024–2025) on November 16, 2024, at the CIHS Auditorium. The ceremony commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting by Dr. N. Meenakumari, Principal, and Dr. S. Mahalakshmi, Vice Principal of Cheran College of Nursing, along with esteemed faculty members.

A highlight of the event was the unveiling of the batch name, “RAVENCLAW,” by Dr. N. Meenakumari and the Allied Health Science faculty, including Mr. N. Puvalingam, Mrs. S. Keerthika, Ms. S. Shruti, and Ms. M. Sindhuja. The celebration featured vibrant group dances, soulful solo performances, and self-introductions from the freshers.

The day concluded on a high note with an energetic flash mob by the students, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks and the National Anthem.

Cheran College of Allied Health Sciences held a webinar on “Professionalism and Ethics in Radiology” in celebration of World Radiography Day on November 7, 2024. The event commenced with a warm welcome from Principal Dr. N. Meenakumari. Mr. Puvalingam, Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology, introduced the keynote speaker, Mr. C. Marimuthu, Chief Radiographer from the Institute of Radio Diagnosis at Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital, Chennai. In his insightful address, Mr. Marimuthu explored the principles of professionalism and ethics in radiology, discussed challenges in the field, and highlighted advancements in radiological technology. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Mahalakshmi, Vice Principal.

Cheran College of Allied Health Sciences proudly celebrated World Anaesthesia Day 2024 on October 16, 2024 with the theme, “Workforce Well-Being,” highlighting the critical role of anaesthesia in cancer treatment and advocating for the expansion of anaesthesia services to improve patient outcomes.

As part of the celebration, first-year students from the Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology program organized a miniature exhibition showcasing anaesthesia and hospital equipment. Guided by Principal Dr. N. Meenakumari and faculty members Mr. Poovalingam, Mrs. Keerthika, Mrs. Sindhuja, and Mrs. Shruthi, the students demonstrated their creativity and knowledge through detailed miniature models, making the event a resounding success.
